So yesterday, The following memo was posted next to every computer in the labs and the office.
NOTICE TO ALL EMPLOYEES, AS OF THIS DATE, ANY EMPLOYEE USING ROCKLAND’S COMPUTERS FOR PERSONAL REASONS, INCLUDING THE INTERNET, WILL BE SUBJECT TO IMMEDIATE DISMISSAL.

This is the first time that I have actually wanted a phone with internet access. I defriended the culprit on facebook. We know it was her. She was sittin in Joy’;s car chatting with her yesterday. The ironic thing is that she would be on throughout the day! I checked her wall before I defriended her and saw last week posts at 2pm, 3pm, and they were GAMES! That lab is famous for playing scrabble during work.
So I wrote this discretely in an outlook email window. this will be my last real-time post during the work day (or will it). I will be making even more use of the scheduling feature on tumblr.
Oh, and a bit of wisdom: Don’t eat cake for breakfast… especially if you are going to be highlighting your birthday pink later in the day…
Wow that “memo” breaks just about every employee communications rule…
